A young lady from Garfield NJ named McKenna Pope, is petitioning Hasbro (the makers of the Easy Bake Oven) to change their marketing to include boys. Little girls dating back decade can recall the excitement of playing with these ovens and baking up single serve cakes and cookies.
Once thought to be a symbol of training little girls to emulate their mothers as it relates to baking, now we have renowned male chefs that are living proof men like to cook just as much as women.
So, does she have a valid point? Is it time for the toy manufacturer to change their marketing to include boys? Would you feel comfortable buying an Easy Bake Ov
en for a little boy?
