Here we go again.

Months ago this doll made the news when it was rumored it would be sold in the states. Now that Christmas is upon us, it appears it may be true. If you so desire, you can buy a doll that simulates breast feeding for that special little girl in your life.

My question is, "Why would you want to?"

Why would any adult with two connected brain cells think it is not only a good idea, but beneficial for a child to spend time pretending she is post pregnant and breast feeding her baby? It is beyond creepy to me and downright disgusting.

Trust me, I realize (based on some of my posts lately) I am coming across as the wacky, old lady down the street. The one with 500 cats, aluminum on her windows, in her robe and slippers, yelling at the kids to"STAY OFF THE LAWN!" 

I know, I hear myself.

But it is amazing to me how skewed our society is becoming.  What we now view as "normal" is anything but. What we view as "acceptable" is anything but.  Why can't a little girl be a little girl? Why must she now be "an individual - not quite feminine and not masculine" Now its nothing more than self expression if a parent chooses to buy their little girls t-shirts and shorts with the words Queen Bitch on them. Tattoos at 12 are the norm. Nose piercings at 13. All nothing more than a passage into adulthood.

Am I by myself on this one? I would think little girls that have this doll would be all the more anxious to experience the real McCoy.

As I often say, I feel like a dinosaur living in a time where I don't recognize my surroundings.
